A Sony emitiu hoje um comunicado oficial no qual afirma estar começando a banir da PSN, os usuários que utilizam programas ilegais em seus consoles. No site PS3news, várias pessoas afirmam já terem sido banidas nos últimos dias por utilizarem uma CFW.
Ao que tudo indica dessa vez a Sony realmente começou a atacar diretamente a pirataria, já que até o momento, ela se limitou apenas a tentar bloquear o acesso dos piratas. Qualquer um que esteja utilizando uma Custom Firmware tem chances de receber o código de erro 8002A231(usuário banido), quando se conecta a PSN, ou seja, se o seu Playstation 3 tem uma CFW instalada é melhor permanecer off-line por enquanto.
Os usuários banidos recebem a seguinte mensagem em inglês:
"PlayStation Customer: Notice: Unauthorised or pirated software has been detected on your PlayStation 3 system. This use has violated the terms of both the “System Software License Agreement for the PlayStation 3 System” and the “Terms of Services and User Agreement” for the PlayStation Network/Sony Network Services and its Community Code of Conduct provisions. As a result, your Sony Entertainment Network account has been permanently banned and access to PlayStation Network and Sony Entertainment Network services through your PlayStation 3 system has been terminated permanently."
